On Sunday, 30 August and 27 September, admission to selected guided tours at this site will be free of charge. Please obtain your free ticket in advance through the online booking system. Capacity for each guided tour is limited. On these special days, the following tours will be available: Upper Castle and Vimperk Museum.
Opening hours
- The time (e. g. 10:00 – 16:00) marks out the departure of the first and the last tour of the day.

- In October , the castle is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
First Upper castle tour starts at 10:00.
From 10:00 to 16:00 (the last entry) the Vimperk Museum is open.
